Friday the Seventeenth

I made a steal of a find yesterday in HMV. I guess it comes as a huge surprise because I'm not used to spending under 15 dollars on any one item in there. But while wandering around the DVD section, browsing for zombie movies out of curiosity as to which movies they actually carried, I was surprised to find Day of the Dead (2007) while looking for an absent Day of the Dead (1985). I was even more so shocked to find that it was priced at $9.99. For a film done in 2007. Uhm, score? The only downside is that it was the 2007 version, which was NOT directed by George Romero, and so the zombies are fast, and... well, kind of ridiculous. Either way, I love the 2007 version for the same idea/general storyline as the 1985 version and it would only be better if it had been the 1985 film.

On another note, I'm basically down to three sections of colour/detail and then I'll just have the black outlines in the painting to deal with for my Sam Flores reproduction. I hate painting, so I'm kind of impressed with myself. It won't look identical, but considering how much I hate paint, it will be good enough.
